Epsom salt has many known uses, but you may not know that it can be helpful in growing a beautiful and healthy garden.
How, you may ask? Epsom salt is rich in magnesium and sulfate, which are crucial to plant life. Plants that are prone to magnesium deficiency–tomatoes and peppers, in particular–can benefit most from Epsom salt.
Add a tablespoon or so of Epsom salt in with the soil when first planting, and then sprinkle more into the soil once mature. For potted plants, mix a couple of tablespoons of Epsom salt into your watering can once or twice a month. You can also sprinkle it in your garden’s soil to help your seeds germinate better.
