Did you know that you can make a fertilizer in your kitchen using just one ingredient? Yes, it’s that simple!
The magic ingredient: water. Veggie water, to be exact.
The next time you cook vegetables on the stove, don’t pour out that leftover water! The water you used to cook your veggies now contains some of the essential nutrients that a garden needs to thrive.
Instead of pouring out that healthy stuff, here are two options to put it to better use:
- Drink it. (I wouldn’t recommend this one)
- Give it back to your plants!
Hopefully, you go with the second option. To do this, simply pour the water into your potted plants as a type of “fertilizer”! This will keep your garden green and healthy.
NOTE: It would be wise to let the water cool down before use, lest you want your plants to wilt!
