Tips For Surviving Black Friday

If you’re celebrating Thanksgiving today, you might be considering venturing out to the Black Friday sales tomorrow morning. After all, there will be at least a few great deals — and you can do all your holiday gift shopping in one crazy sprint. To make it out with your sanity and your wallet intact, here are a few Black Friday tips we would like to share.

  1. Make Your Shopping List First

Make a list of items that you are looking for. Definitely browse through the sales papers and consider editing your list to  what’s on sale.  This technique definitely saves your pocketbook. Steering away from high traffic items though might save some sanity!

  1. Check The Online Deals

Many retailers offer online deals for Black Friday. When you add in gas money and the time you might spend standing in line on Friday morning, online sales are even better. Often you can get the same sales online, without the headache!  For some stores, you can order items online and pay the Black Friday price, then pick them up at your local store.

  1. Bring Your Ads With You

Shop at stores with a price-matching policy so that you can get the same prices that another store is offering without fighting the crowd! Bring in your entire sales paper to avoid any hassle with the sales clerk!

  1. Use Your Credit Card

Many credit card companies have much better return protection than stores: a purchase made on your credit card may have guaranteed refund up to 90 days. Credit cards often offer warranty coverage for free on purchases — a much better deal than most of the service contracts offered by stores.

  1. Just accept and prepare for crowds

The more you complain about the crowds, the more you will stress yourself out. Have a plan of attack and knock it out.

Happy Thanksgiving!

We just wanted to take a minute to wish everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, wherever you are. We certainly have a lot to be thankful for in our lives and throughout every day. Thanksgiving is a time for family, food, and reflection. It’s easy to get overwhelmed and distracted with everything that comes with the holiday season. Prepping meals, buying gifts, and traveling family members can cause stress that dampens the holiday spirit. It’s important as we go through this holiday to remember the little things in our everyday lives that we’re grateful for.

There are great deals on homes in Lafayette, LA these days.

Tomorrow will be a shopping day for many seeking sales around town and getting Christmas presents for their loved ones. We will be working and would love to help you find a perfect new home just in time for Christmas!
